Finally, I arrived at Warsaw Airport, Poland. Everything was neat. Airport facilities were also very familiar. As it was a transfer within EU, there were few immigration procedures or customs inspections. It made me somewhat upset.

First of all, the wifi in the airport worked well. I decided to change the currency to a minimum to get on the bus, etc. One week Otee was about 300 won in Korean Won. In the case of dormitories in hostels, the cost was 35 to 60  Chuoty, and meals can be arranged at the 10 to 30  Chuoty. First, I withdrew only 100  Chuoty from the ATM.

I decided to visit Warsaw Old Town Square and Wazienki Palace/Park as well. The city bus was 4.4 Chuoty. You can buy a bus ticket that can be used for 75 minutes at a store, etc. There is a ticket vending machine inside the bus, which can only be purchased with a credit card.

When entering the city from the airport, the atmosphere was well-organized and there were not a lot of bushes. It appeared that this city was rebuilt after World War II.

In the past, I realized that this city was beautiful enough to be called the 'Paris of Eastern Europe'. Although it was a well-organized European city, it felt like it was designed in preparation to the cold weather. The atmosphere of  Moscow where I I visited 25 years ago appeared to be somewhat similar. This feeling come out mainly because the structure and layout of the building were reminiscent of the cold weather.

The building near the central station was beautiful. And the buildings in the city were also neat and well organized. Passers-by also looked bright. Overall, the city felt stable.

I took the bus back to Wazienki Palace. The bus system and stop signs were similar to those in Korea. However, I did not have to do anything else further after checking the ticket machine on the bus.

When I got off the bus, it was quite dark. It was a pity that I could not see the whole view of the park, etc. But it was adorned beautifully around the brook flowing in the middle.

드디어 폴란드 바르샤바 공항에 도착했다. 모든 것이 깔끔하다. 공항시설도 많이 익숙하다. EU 국가로의 이동이어서 달리 입국수속이나 세관 검사가 거의 없다. 조금 당황스러울 정도다.

무엇보다도 먼저 공항내 와이파이가 잘 터졌다. 환전은 버스 등을 타기 위하여 최소한도만 하기로 했다. 1주오티는 한화로 300원 정도했다. 호스텔의 도미토리인 경우 35∼60주오티이고, 식사는 10∼30주오티 선에서 해결할 수 있다. 일단 100주오티만 ATM에서 인출했다.

바르샤바 올드타운 광장과 와지엔키 궁전 겸 공원을 한번 방문하기로 했다. 시내버스는 4.4 주오티였다. 가게 등에서 75분간 사용할 수 있는 버스표를 구입하면 된다. 버스 안에서 티켓 발매기가 있는데 이는 신용카드로만 구입이 가능하다.

공항에서 시내로 들어오는 데 분위기가 잘 정리된 도시이고 수풀도 적지 않게 느껴진다. 아무도 2차 세계대전 이후 재건되면서 계획도시이 잘 정비된 것으로 보였다.

과거에는 ‘동유럽의 파’리로 불릴 정도로 아름다웠다는 말이 실감이 났다. 잘 정돈된 유럽도시이면서 추운 날씨 등을 고려하여 설계된 느낌이 들었다. 과거 25년 전에 방문한 모스크바의 분위기가 일부 비슷하게 느껴졌다. 추운 날씨 등을 고려한 건물 구조와 배치가 연상되었기 때문이다.

중앙역 쪽의 건물이 아름다웠다. 그리고 시내의 건물 역시 나름대로 깔끔하고 잘 정리되어 있었다. 지나가는 사람들 역시 활기차 보였다. 전체적으로 도시가 안정적으로 느껴졌다.

다시 버스를 타고 와지엔키 궁전으로 향하였다. 버스 시스템과 정류장 표시 등은 한국과 비슷했다. 다만 버스내 티켓 인식기에 체크를 하고 그 이후는 달리 할 필요가 없다.

버스에 내려서 보니 날씨가 꽤 어두워졌다. 공원 등 전경을 제대로 볼 수 없어서 아쉬웠다. 그러나 가운데 흐르는 시냇물 주변으로 아름답게 꾸며져 있었다.
