Pine Beach in Haenam, Jeollanam-do is called Korea's Pebble Beach.

Pebble Beach overlooks the wider Pacific Ocean, while Pine Beach has the sea of 1004 islands in Sinan-gun as its secondary view. A cruise ship or a fish boat floats between them, and you can hear the sound of the boat beating from time to time. When you enter the clubhouse, the sea and many islands in front of you are exotic and fantastic. At the front entrance of the clubhouse, a sign stating that it was selected as one of the top 100 golf courses in Asia stands out.

Even in autumn, the hackberry and unnamed flowering trees approach warmly like a spring view in May. The dazzling white cotton on the indoor cotton tree is more pleasing. The sun is so warm and cozy. The intermittent blue color of the sea provides a different coolness amidst the warmth.

The fairway is composed of Kenturkey blue stlye grass, adding greenery even in early winter. It seems to have the most natural blessings among the golf courses I have been to. You will be distracted by the strange and eye-opening scenery around you. Thanks to that, the score is the worst in recent years, but there are no complaints. I am simply grateful for the scenery that enters my eyes and heart. All the distractions, such as the boredom and worries of everyday life and worries about the vague future, quietly subside. I am grateful and humbled by myself as I breathe and look at the beautiful nature. In addition, even the air felt as the wind is so refreshing and friendly that it seduces.

There was an observatory next to the tee box in the hall with the most beautiful view of the sea. It was a place that could not be overlooked because of the wonderful view of the open sea. At the same time, a golf designer who majored in a painting, says something with a rather sad expression on his face. He said that when he initially consulted the design of the golf course here, he recommended that the clubhouse be built here. And he said that he designed it to double as a yacht dock under the sea side of the building. And I thought that if the golf clubhouse had been located here, the view would have been so captivating that it would have become a world-famous attraction. And it is regrettable that it could have become a global model for the complex resort industry, which is a promising industry in the future.

Then, the most beautiful short hole (par 3) in Korea appeared. It was supposed to be shot across the sea. The sea on the right, the beautiful cliff scenery between the sea and the green, and the trees like the bunkers and windbreaks on the left of the blue fairway… . All of these are exquisitely harmonized to make the golfer's heart flutter. At that moment, the Caddie told me to look up at the sky. And I saw a big hawk floating in the sky, didn't it? Even hawk, the lord of the sky, seems to be attracted by this scenery. He had spread his wings in a very arrogant position and looked down quietly in the sky in an almost stationary position for a considerable amount of time. It's a moment that makes people supremely humble. 

The evening of Pine Beach came full of exotic and alluring appearance quietly. Moreover, the calm stillness of darkness seemed to provide a stage where all the characters, including the sea, trees, grass, and artificial structures, could show off their individuality and appearance in the most unique way. On the path of the ever-deepening early winter, I am mesmerized by the subtle fascination of a different heaven, and I am simply admiring and grateful. This beautiful scenery seems to melt away the complexity of reality, boredom, conflict, anxiety, anxiety, anger, and love and hate. This is because the mere fact of “existence” created a deeply amazing night in early autumn that makes me realize what a blessing is.

전남 해남의 파인비치는 한국의 페블비치라고 불린다.

페블비치는 더 넓은 태평양 앞바다를 내려다보는 반면 파인비치는 신안군의 1004개의 섬이 있는 바다를 차경으로 삼고 있다. 그 사이로 유람선 내지 고깃배가 떠가고 간간이 뱃고동 소리가 들린다. 클럽하우스에 들어서면 눈 앞의 바다와 많은 섬들이 이국적이고 환상적이다. 클럽하우스 프런트 입구에 ‘아시아 100대 골프장으로 선정되었다’는 표지가 눈에 띈다.

팽나무와 이름 모를 꽃나무가 늦가을 내지 초겨울임에도 마치 5월의 봄 전경처럼 따뜻하게 다가온다. 실내 목화나무에 눈부시게 하얀 목화가 더 정겹다. 햇살은 더 없이 포근하고 따뜻하다. 간간히 보이는 바다의 푸른색이 따뜻함 속에 색다른 시원함을 선사한다.

페어웨이는 양잔디로 구성되어 초겨울임에도 푸르름을 더하여 주고 있다. 지금까지 가본 골프장 중에서 가장 천연의 축복을 모두 가득이 품고 있는 듯하다. 주위의 이색적이고 눈을 맑게 하는 풍광에 마냥 정신줄을 놓게 된다. 그 덕분에 스코어는 최근 들어 가장 나쁘지만 아무런 불만이 없다. 눈과 가슴에 들어오는 풍광에 그저 감사할 뿐이다. 일상의 권태와 근심 그리고 막연한 미래에 대한 근심 등 모든 잡념이 조용히 가라앉는다. 마냥 아름다운 자연에서 숨 쉬고 바라보는 나 자신에 감사하고 겸손해 진다. 게다가 바람으로 느껴지는 공기마저 너무 상큼하고 친근하게 유혹한다.

바다 전경이 가장 아름다운 홀의 티박스 옆에 전망대를 두고 있었다. 탁 트인 바다의 전경이 멋있어 그냥 지나칠 수 없는 장소였다. 마침 골프설계가이고 미술을 전공한 권동영 사장이 다소 안타까운 표정을 지으면서 한마디 한다. 자신이 초기에 이곳 골프장의 설계 상담을 할 때에 여기다(전망대) 클럽하우스를 세울 것을 추천하였다고 한다. 그리고 그 건물의 바다 쪽 아래에 요트의 선착장을 겸하도록 설계를 했다는 것이다. 그리고 보니 이곳에 골프 클럽하우스가 위치하였다면 그 전경이 너무나도 매혹적이어서 세계적인 명소가 되었을 것이라는 생각이 들었다. 그리고 미래의 유망산업인 복합리조트 산업의 세계적인 모델이 될 수 있었을 것이라는 아쉬움이 남는다.

이어 우리나라에서 가장 아름다운 숏 홀(파3)이 눈앞에 나타났다. 바다를 가로질러 샷을 하도록 되어 있었다. 오른쪽의 바다, 그리고 바다와 그린과의 사이에 놓인 멋진 낭떠러지의 풍광 그리고 벙커, 푸른 페어웨이 왼쪽의 방풍림과 같은 수목들…. 이 모든 것이 절묘하게 조화를 이루어 골퍼의 마음을 설레게 하는 곳이다. 마침 캐디언니가 하늘을 바라보란다. 그리고 보니 큰 매가 하늘에 떠 있는 것이 아닌가? 하늘의 맹주인 매마져 이 풍광에 취한 모양이다. 아주 도도한 자세로 날개를 펼치고 조용히 하늘에서 거의 정지된 자세로 상당한 시간동안 내려다보고 있었다. 인간을 더없이 겸손하게 만드는 순간이다. 그리고 자연이라는 예술 그 자체를 그대로 느끼게 하는 순간이라고나 할까. 여기다 200m가 넘은 도전적인 거리는 아무에게나 온그린의 즐거움을 선사하지는 아니하겠다는 도도한 고고함 마저 느끼게 한다.

파인비치의 저녁은 더 없는 고요함으로 이국적이면서도 고혹적인 모습으로 가득히 다가왔다. 더욱이 어둠의 잔잔한 고요함이 바다, 수목, 잔디 그리고 인공구조물 등 모든 등장인물들로 하여금 각자의 개성과 자태를 더 없이 색다르게 뽐낼 수 있는 무대를 제공해주는 것 같았다. 더 없이 깊어가는 초겨울의 길목에서 색다른 별천지의 은은한 매혹 그 자체에 마냥 넋을 잃고 그저 감탄하며 더 없이 감사드릴 뿐이다. 이 아름다운 풍광은 현실의 복잡함, 권태, 갈등, 근심, 불안, 분노 그리고 애증 모두를 다 녹여버리는 듯하다. 그저 “존재 한다”는 그 사실만으로 축복이 무엇인지를 절감하게 만드는 초가을 깊은 밤을 연출하였기 때문이다.
