Running & walk
Which one do you like? Personally, I prefer walk to running. In terms of health, running will be more approriate. But the tenderness and peace which the walk come along with is more attractive, or less offensive.
Most of philosphers do enjoyed the walk daily and some of them walked twice per day. Why did they walk so much?
It come from unique characteristics of the walk. Doing a walk means that you are doing several missions. First, walking is a exercise of body. such exercise does not demand many things. What you have to do is just to walk. It does not matter in temrs of clothes, shoes, appearance, etc. You do not have to set a goal and go around as your minds go.
On the other hand, you may appreciate a variety of all phenomina, natural or artificial, etc. Your eye appreciate the existence of all the plants, animals, even insects, etc. and their movement along with the human beings passing by.
Your ear will be open to numerious voices of bird, trees, animals together with high or low response from neighbors, etc.
Such a variety of imputs will be flowed into your minds, consciously or unconsciously, which do not have any limits and draws a lot of feeling, memories, etc. And then, they will perform a kind of festivals, which is not noisy, but a variety of mental stream and movement are passing through.
Such attractiveness is almost like a irresitable drug or more, and therefore it appears that the philospher like a walk very much. So ordinary person do.
The world which the walk creates will be the combinated one of the compound, clear and pleasant journey.
