Originally, how may the golf ball be made? It ihas been known that in 15th century, the original golf ball was made from the beechwood, and it was carved into a round shape.

However, such wooden ball was easily fragile and thus in the 18th century featherie ball was made. Such ball was made in a way of feather pieces to be put into a cow leather and was in a round shape like a baseball ball. 

Later on, it was changed into gutty ball. It was made from the gutta percha materials, which reduces the price of ball down to one fourth of the previous featherie ball price.

Further, it was known that some flaw on the face of the golf ball will be albe to go further, and the face of golf ball was intentionally scratched. It was developed into the current dimple.

In 1898, rubber core ball was created, which contribute topopularize the golf ball. 

Finally, it has been changed into a modern ball which was initiated by titlest pro v1.

For reference, please note that the golf ball should be within 1.68 inch(42.67mm) in size, 1.620 ounce(45.93kg) in weight and there is no restriction on the shape or number of dimple.
